Deacons are considered an extension of the pastoral arm of the church and, as such, are spiritual servants and counselors representing the Lord Jesus.
Trustee Ministry
Trustees serve as legal officers of the church, a liaison between the membership and the senior pastor.
Music Ministry
Under the guidance of the Director of Music, this ministry handles all music to be rendered in all worship services and programs.

1. The Scriptures.
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
Our Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Emeritus Dr. P. Q. English
A lifelong member of GT, he became the pastor in 1968. Under his pastorate, the church grew to be an even more established pillar in the community, reaching 300 members, along with building a fellowship hall, new sanctuary, church face-lift, and a fully functioning family life center. Dr. English retired at the conclusion of 2013. As he continues to fulfill his call to preach, he is still a vital participant and resource of wisdom and guidance to the ministry. Dr. English and his lovely wife Ida have been married for over 25 years.
